Matthew Connor Lee (p/k/a TWLGHT) is a Canadian-Korean-Chinese songwriter, producer, and DJ specializing in emotional bass music. Born and raised in Vancouver (now based in Toronto), TWLGHT has built a world rooted in memory, nostalgia, dreams - and the emotional weight carried between them.

 

Influenced by the golden era of 2010s pop punk and pre-pandemic melodic bass, TWLGHT is recognized for his immersive chord-driven productions -  highlighted by releases such as his recent hit single “In My Head” alongside close friends SadBois, which garnered co-signs from acts such as ILLENIUM, Said The Sky, and Adventure Club. 

 

On the live side, TWLGHT balances euphoric and melancholic moments with explosive bass-heavy intensity, often diving into tearout dubstep and riddim. He has shared the stage with Crankdat, Virtual Riot, and Audien, including performances at iconic venues like the Brooklyn Mirage - which marked his American debut. 

 

Through both his music and performances, TWLGHT continues to establish himself as an ultra-dynamic performer and immersive storyteller. Drawing inspiration from both his real-life experiences and imagined worlds, TWLGHT continues to expand his universe through recurring themes of memory, longing, and growth. 

 

Central to this evolving story is Bowly - the fallen moon spirit - who guides listeners through the TWLGHT universe and its emotional landscapes. TWLGHT exists to remind his community that the past can shape us without defining us - that there is still light to be found after the burn.
